Enigmatic Lust : Finale'

I wanted to scream but no words came out. The knife was sharp, and cut through me like paper. For this instance i was weak but i would not let that stop me. I grabbed Daniel's arm and pulled him out of me. "Why the hell are you doing this!" I was able to scream. He looked at me with a look of disgust. "You are such a whore. You slept with every demon you have ever met."

"Leave her alone." said Dawn

Her eyes were cold with hate. "Dawn you cannot compare to my power. Why would you even try?" said Daniel still holding the bloody knife in his hand. Dawn stepped in front of me. She put out her hands and magickal energy began to swirl around them. Tears began to roll down Dawn's eyes. "You want to know why? BECAUSE I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!" her scream echoing off the walls of the temple. The energy was forced off of her hands in a brillant colorful sphere of red. The energy seemed to be forcing Daniel back, but it was only my eyes playing tricks on me. In one fatal movement of hands, Daniel had taken away on of the most precious thing in my life. Her scream had echoed, the most horrible sound i had ever heard, in all my life and death. I watched in horror as her body was mangled by her own magick powers, her blood splattered all over my face. "Dawn?" i was in shock.

I couldnt bear to think it, Dawn could not be dead. "Dawn please wake up," tears rolled down my face," Dawn please!" I screamed. I looked up at Daniel, his face he had looked as though he had just realized what he had done. " You son of a bitch!" I screamed and slapped him across his face. He grabbed my arm and twisted it, this time he used force. The pain seared through my arm, it burned like white hot fire. He was using magick to keep his hold on me. I closed my eyes and the pain stopped. When i opened them I saw Deryck slashing at Daniel's throat, going for the kill. "Deryck? What the hell are you doing here?" I screamed nursing my arm. " I am still youre Sire and i will not let this bastrd kill-----ARG!" Daniel had taken this chance to stab Deryck in the chest, close to the heart. It was a cheesey way to kill a vampire, but still effective, unfortunatley for Daniel he didnt hit the heart.

"Kuroi!" who turned quickly twoards me, " Protect Deryck, dont ask questions, just do it!"

"Right!" replied Kuroi, standing in front of Deryck, casting a magickal sheild.

"I dont need protection Lyric." grumbled Deryck. Kuroi slugged him in the arm. "Shut up! This is no time for a display of testosterone." Deryck just looked at Kuroi dumbfounded. "LYRIC!" Deryck shouted. I quickly turned around. Daniel was coming at me full force. I was paralyzed, i wasnt even able to breathe. Until Daniel flew to the side as though someone had blasted him off course. "Kailith?" I whispered. Daniel stood up, dazed. "What the hell was that?". A looked all around in hope of answering this question. As i looked to the right i saw a figure emerge from the wall. It was Kailith!
He completely pulled himself from the wall, he stood there calmly, covered in what seemed to be an icy armor. "How dare you call your self a god, you are no better than overpowered trash."  Daniel stood up. "If its a fight you want youll have to wait i have a previous engagement."

Daniel threw a charge of magick at me. Kailith quickly materialized in front of me. stopping the attack. "How is you are not dead.?"  Asked the stunned god. "I have friends in high places." Said kailith holding his hand to the side. Where there stood a woman, Desiree. "So you have showed yourself?" Daniel spoke. "Daniel, for your disgusting behavior, you will be punished, it is said by the Guardians, 'You shall have thy powers relinquished from thy form, You shall be mortal for as long as those around you or nature permits you to live.', Thats pretty much all they had to say." She said. Daniel looked shocked. "They cannot have my powers unless they take them from me!" He shouted, enraged, his aura was beginning to expand rapidly. "You have no choice in the matter." Said Desiree. She held up a shiny glow ball thing. It began to glow brightly, as did Daniel. "What is going on here?!" He screamed. His power was being drained from his very immortal core. The glowing quickly stopped. Daniel weakly fell to the ground. "As for you Lyric," I looked over," It was not a choice for you to be a vampire, we have decided to turn you back to your original human state."
I was confused. "What do you mean?" I asked. "You will no longer be a vampire, If you choose not to be that is."

My world suddenly stopped. I finally had a chance to be mortal again. To no longer be weakened by the sun. To make friends outside of the undead.
But there is a downside to it as well. I will lose everything i know, Kailith, and Deryck. But i had no time. I was gaining more than i was losing.


"I accept."

Desiree nodded her head. Once again the strange sphere began to glow, as did i. The way it felt was extrodinary, i had never felt such peace within myself. The glowing quickly stopped. I was mortal again. Human. Daniel, was still struggkling to get up, Deryck still bleeding badly, and Kailith kept his emotionless face, but you could read into it, he was upset, sad. Saddened by my choice obviously. "Beware though Lyric. Daniel still retains his immortal powers, but his life span and mortality as a human is now intact. He can be killed and it must be done quickly." Said Desiree, she then disappeared into the nothingness as the last remaining Goddess and last remaining Higher power.

I turned to Daniel, or where he last stood.

" Fuck."

"What forget where i was?" Said Daniel grabbing me by the throat from behind. "You made a grave mistake becoming mortal. I Can kill you so much easier now."
I stood there for a minute. "Kailith." I managed to choke out. "He cant help you, he is a little preoccupied.", Daniel thrust me around, showing me where Kailith was, stapled to a wall with magick spears. His blood was gushing out. He wasnt healing. He was going to die. "Lyric!" shouted Kuroi, "Dont forget what you are!"

It took a minute to process in my head. I remembered. I am a witch. I Felt my soul burning inside me. "You will not kill ME!" I screamed pushing a large mass of energy out of my body. It was strong enough to blast Daniel back against the temple wall.

"How in the hell?"
"I am a witch. And i will not fall to you."

I began to charge magick in my hand. The same attack Dawn was going to use to destroy Daniel as a god. And now that he was no longer immortal, this was like setting a mouse drenched in gasoline on fire. "Dont forget Lyric, his blood is mine!" said Deryck. That was the first time. i had heard Deryck make a humorous reference. "There wont be a drop of blood left after this." I said I Felt my body rise into the air, I then aimed the attack at Daniel.

"IT'S OVER!!!!!!!"
I launched the blast it flew swiftly at his body. When it made contact, you could hear his skin sizzle. his scream was echoing off the walls, just like Dawn's.

It was finally over.

I was just finishing up at my job. I had made it as a singer and was recording my first album. It was going to be hit, or at least thats what my new manager said.
I waited outside forthe limo to come pick me up and tale me to a party i was supposed to go to. A hand had reached from behind me, grabbing me over my mouth, i was instantly reminded of the scene i had worked so hard to erase from my memory. But the hand had fallen limp. And the man was flying across the street, but not out of his own power. The power of someone tossing him that way. I turned around and saw, that stupid korny mist........."Kailith."
